Name Paths

                            Name Paths

To make my name paths I first used the text tool to type my name. Then under modify at the top tool bar I clicked on convert to paths. Then I un-grouped the the text and moved the text around to give each letter space. On the internet I searched textures and I saved 6 images whose color was blue or was a shade of blue. I opened the picture in a new document then copied the image. In a letter I right clicked and pasted the image inside. I did this to all the letters each with a different texture. Afterwards I made the letters close and grouped them back together. I made the canvas gray because it makes the blue stand out. After grouping the letters and changing the canvas color I cropped the canvas to be a bit bigger then the text.

Butterfly

                                                                      Butterfly:

To make my butterfly I first started by making a square over the canvas and making the square brown with a wood texture. The layer above that I made a smaller square with oilslick texture and a green fill. The main background was a smaller square with the fill light blue.
To make the grass I made small ovals using the Elipse Tool and stretching the ovals using the Sub Select Tool. Instead of using a gradient I made the ovals have a pattern of Grass-Large. I copied one oval and pasted many more then grouped them together.
For the butterfly I started with a oval then used the Free Form Tool to give the butterfly shape. I made the oval light brown with a grass texture. For the wings using the Elipse Tool I made circles and using the Free Form Tool I gave the circles a wing shape. For the top wings I made the gradient satin and made the colors pink and light blue. Over that using the Line Tool I made lines and made the fill the same light blue as the gradient pattern. For the bottom wings I made the gradient satin and made the colors purple and yellow. Over that using the Line Tool I made lines and made the fill the same yellow as the gradient pattern. All wings had a texture of grass. The butterfly had antennas which were made using the Line Tool then using the Free Form tool to bend the antennas. The eye was made using the Elipse Tool then using the Free Form Tool.
To make the flower I started by using the Elipse Tool and I made a circle with a solid brown fill and a grain texture. The flower pedals were made using the Elipse Tool and stretching them using the Sub Select Tool. The pedals were purple with a grass texture. The stem was made using the Pen Tool and had a light brown fill. I made the leaves using the Elipse Tool. Then using the Sub Select Tool I stretched the oval out. Then using the Free Form Tool I made the indents in the leaves. Using the Scale Tool I made the leaves small so they were proportional to the rest of the flower.
For the sun I started by using the Elipse Tool. I made the circle with a linear pattern with the colors orange and yellow. I then gave the circle a zoom blur filter.
Using the Text Tool I made my name. I made the font color bright blue so it stands out against the dark green. The font for the text was Lucida Handwriting.

Emotions

Grief:
For grief I made dark gray clouds with rain, a puddle of rain and a ripped umbrella. This for me is sad weather and I used this to represent grief. For the clouds I used the circles tool and stretched the circles by using the sub select tool. For the rain I used circles and stretched the the circles. The puddle I made by using the circle tool then using the free form tool I made the run off and the edges. The splash was made using circles with no with but will a black stroke. The umbrella was made using the free form tool then using the line tool and pentagon tool to make the holes and shape of the umbrella. The handle was made using the L tool and the wind with the pencil tool. A cloudy and rainy day is sad and you feel grief. You can't really be outside unless you want to be soaking wet so there's really nothing to do on a cloudy and rainy day which is sad.

Happiness:
For happiness I made a sun in the bright blue sky. Who isn't happy on a sunny day? For the sun I used a circle a made the gradient linear and the colors yellow and orange. The sun rays were made     with the pencil tool and filled with the fill tool. The canvas color I changed to light blue to look like a clear summer day sky. When you have a clear sky and bright sun you feel happiness. You want to be running outside enjoying the summer sun.

     Rage:
For the emotion rage I made fire with a box that had a black pit of darkness in the middle. To make the box I used the square tool and rotated the square using the scale tool. The circle in the middle was made using the circle tool and I made the gradient of the circle radial and made the colors black, yellow, orange, and red. The fire was made using the pencil tool and I filled the fire with the colors orange and red. The heat waves were made using the pencil tool and the canvas color was changed to black. The square with the circle in the middle represents a dark pit of rage building and building. The fire is what helps build the rage.

     Fear:
For the emotion fear I made a spider web with a spider egg in the middle oozing venom. The canvas color I changed to dark green and the spider web I made by using circles, pentagons, and lines. I made the spider web gray. To make the venom puddle and I made a circle with the gradient starburst and the colors yellow and green. The venom drops were made using the circle tool and stretching out the circles using the sub select tool. The gradient was starburst and the colors green and yellow. The spider egg was made using a rounded rectangle and I used the sub select tool to give the egg a shape. The gradient is contour with colors green and yellow and using the line tool I made yellow lines across. Using the smart polygon tool I made the fill black and using the L tool made legs to look as if the egg was hatching. Spiders cause fear to me so I made a spider web with a spider egg dripping venom and the spider hatching from the egg to represent fear.

   Surprise:
For surprise I made a confetti cannon. I made a confetti cannon because a confetti cannon blasting confetti are used for surprises and if someone just blasted a confetti cannon I would be surprised. To made the cannon I used the rounded rectangle tool and made the gradient satin and the colors light blue and black. The mouth of the cannon was made using two circles. The gray circle as the outline and the black circle to make the cannon look hollow. The wheel was made of two circles. The black one as the tire and the gray one as the rim. Using the pencil tool I made a string and filled it black. For the fire I used the pencil tool as well and filled it orange and yellow. The confetti I made using the square tool. I made bunch of confetti. The confetti was 3 different blues, aqua blue, dark blue, and sky blue.
